Motivate your students to build robust applications by encouraging them to enter in the InterSystems Student Innovator Award Contest!
Every year, one highlight of InterSystems Developer’s Conference (DEVCON) is the presentation of the Innovator Awards. The Innovator Awards honor the creativity and technical prowess of IT students and professionals who use InterSystems technology.
Caché-based applications are eligible for the InterSystems Student Innovator Award. To enter, submit an application by preparing a document according to the contest guidelines. If chosen, the winner will receive:

$2,000 in cash

An award acknowledging his/her accomplishment

A matching grant to his/her school

Free accommodations and round-trip ticket to InterSystems DEVCON 2008 in Orlando, Florida

DEVCON 2007 Student Winner
Congratulations to Anudita Kuksal of Australia, winner of the InterSystems Student Innovator Award 2007 for her application titled: Teacher's Pet.

Teacher's Pet's primary purpose was to fulfill a need for a lightweight database management system for small tutoring companies. The system is a web-based application that provides a tutoring business with all of their school-side administrative needs.
InterSystems Student Innovator Award Contest Details
Eligibility

A student application must have been developed within the past three years using Caché.

The contestant’s academic institution must be a member of InterSystems’ Caché Campus program.

Applications that did not win an Innovator Award in previous years are eligible for resubmission, but require new submission documents.

Applications must be submitted by February 2008.
Judging
Entries will be judged by Carl Olofson of IDC, based upon the creativity of the application and its innovative use of Caché technology.
Presentation of Awards
The winner of the InterSystems Student Innovator Award will be announced at InterSystems DEVCON 2008. The student winner will be notified in advance of the Award Presentation. The winner does not have to be present to receive their award, but we strongly urge candidates to attend the conference.
